[KROQ This Week] OC Music Awards Showcase Series, Cabo Cantina, Slidebar, Bear Mountain, Reptile Super Show And More

We’re getting our grub on this week! We’re checking out the 2012 OC Music Awards Showcase Series as it kicks of Tuesday at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa, then Cabo Cantina in Santa Monica for Taco Tuesday, heading to Hooters in Burbank for Wednesday Wingsday, and getting a taste of the local food trucks in Anaheim Wednesday night. Thursday, we’ll be ordering some of the Slidebar Rock N Roll Kitchen’s famous mac ‘n cheese while we hang with Super Steve and the KROQ Promo crew for the Supercross kick-off party.

Friday is KROQ day at Bear Mountain, so come join us for some fun in the snow during the day and knockin’ a few back at Chad’s place that night. This weekend, find us at the Reptile Super Show playing with all the snakes, geckos, and lizards we can.

Costa Mesa: It’s BACK. Celebrating its 11th anniversary, the OC Music Awards kicks off  this Tuesday for seven weeks of free showcases at different venues across the county. 35 local artists will compete for the titles of Best Live Band or Best Live Acoustic and a performance slot at the 2012 OC Music Awards, March 3rd at the Grove of Anaheim. Join KROQ and Kat Corbett tonight January 3rd at the Detrot Bar in Costa Mesa as we check out the Best Liev Band action starting at  7:30P  (843 W. 19^th St Costa Mesa).

Santa Monica: Taco Tuesday is our favorite day of the week. Find the crew at Cabo Cantina for $5 all you can eat tacos. Hope we can get to-go boxes cause we are stockin’ up. See us there and get some sweet KROQ stickers. 1240 3rd St

Costa Mesa: Christmas money is burning a hole in our pockets, so we’re hittin’ up the South Coast Plaza today at 4pm to spend it. Hit us up for stickers while we’re still in the holiday spirit.

Los Angeles: The Lakers play the Houston Rockets tonight and we gotta’ show our LA pride. Find us cruisin’ around Staples Center tonight at 8pm and get hooked up with KROQ stickers.

Burbank: It’s Wednesday Wingsday at Hooters. Find the promo crew chowin’ down and checkin’ out the babes at 2pm. We’ll hook you up with stickers but don’t bother us while we’re eating. 600 N 1st St.

Anaheim: There are few things we love more than food trucks, so we’ll be grubbin’ and shopping during First Wednesday at Community tonight around 7pm. If you see us there say hi for stickers, we’ll be the ones wearing KROQ shirts. 423 S Brookhurst St.

Fullerton: Come kick off Supercross season with Super Steve this Thursday from 8-10PM at the Slidebar in Fullerton. Kick off the 2012 season opener this Saturday for the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an F-I-M world championship. We’ll be there with Supercross giveaways along with some great KROQ stuff. Make sure you stop by.

Van Nuys: Girls like nature and we like girls, so we’re gonna’ hang out at Lake Balboa today at 3pm. We might rent bikes or those sweet paddle boats, so catch us before we ride to get some stickers.

Bear Mountain: It’s that time of year again and you know what that means? It’s KROQ DAY at Bear Mountain!! Come kick off your weekend with us shredding The Park at Bear Mountain! The KROQ Promo Crew will be wrecking the turntables on the patio deck all day. You might even catch us at Chad’s Place Friday night.

Anaheim: Ducks fans, join the KROQ Promo Crew at the Honda Center for the 7pm game as the Ducks take the ice versus the New York Islanders. We’ll be there checking out The Altar Billies playing the Anaheim Ducks OC/LA Concert Series. Local bands will be performing live at the Honda Center for select Friday night Ducks games on the Plaza Level.

Venice: Food trucks are our weakness, so you know you’ll find us at First Friday on Abbot Kinney tonight at 6pm. Find us food truck hopping and get hooked up with some KROQ swag, we might have tickets too.

Pomona: The KROQ promo crew is hangin’ at the Reptile Super Show from 11a-3pm at the Pomona Fairplex. We’re checkin’ out the lizards, snakes, turtles, frogs, supplies and more. We might even go home with a snake, or two.

Los Angeles: We want Pho and we want it now. Catch the crew lookin’ for a place to stuff our faces in Chinatown tonight at 6pm and get some stickers. Oh and we will gladly take suggestions.

Pomona: The KROQ promo crew will be chillin’ at the Reptile Super Show from 11a-3pm at the Pomona Fairplex. Lizards, snakes, turtles and frogs oh my! We might take a lizard home.

Los Angeles: It’s the 4th Annual No Pants Metro Ride starting at Union Station today, and we are stoked. Find the crew checkin’ out the scene at 1pm, but don’t worry we’ll keep our pants on.
