Almost Acoustic Christmas: Photos, recaps, interviews, and more!

Bloc Party has announced that 2012 will bring a new album for the group – the first since Intimacy in 2008. After rumors of division in the band last year, fans should be very happy.

Today Trends looks at scrobbles for Bloc Party and their albums, to see what we might expect from album number four.

The graph above (click to enlarge) shows the last six months in weekly scrobbles for the band, and a recent downward dip is sure to be arrested by new tracks. However, it seems to be their older material that’s closest to fans’ hearts.

The band may face a battle against their own successes with the release of the new album: debut Silent Alarm comprises eight out of their ten top tracks on, and dwarfs their other two releases with 1,148,975 listeners. In comparison, Intimacy counts only 321,219 listeners.
