Cage The Elephant Release Live Album & DVD In January!

Celebrate the new year with a new release from Cage the Elephant!

Available January 3rd, Cage the Elephant: Live from the Vic in Chicago CD/DVD will include over two hours of live concert footage from their February 2011 2-night sets at the historic Vic Theatre in Chi-town. Also included are performances of fan favorite songs, “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked,” “Shake Me Down,” and “Aberdeen.”

These Kentucky-born fellas have certainly been busy this year.

Their second studio album, Thank You, Happy Birthday, released in January 2011, received rave reviews and debuted at the top of the Billboard and iTunes charts. Rolling Stone magazine notably named Thank You, Happy Birthday, as one of the best albums of the year, and we’d have to agree! We’re big fans of the band here at KROQ, as their songs, “Shake Me Down,” and “Aberdeen” are staples on our playlist.  The band also performed at our annual Weenie Roast, as well as Almost Acoustic Christmas.

Cage the Elephant has also been consistently touring, performing at Coachella 2011, Lollapallooza 2011, and several music festivals in Japan and Europe, including Glastonbury Festival and BBC Radio 1′s Big Weekend.
