18 Punk Rock Christmas Songs To Rock Your Holidays And Upset Your Parents

Christmas is only weeks away!
It’s that time of year where you could walk into any drug store or shopping center and here all those classic Christmas songs you grew up listening to. It’s a pretty exciting time of the year, but sometimes hearing the same old Christmas songs can get a little boring. So allow me to do you a favor and take a break from the cliché holiday classics, and share with you a list of awesome punk, pop punk and rock renditions of holiday classics as well as some great originally written Christmas music.
Mix it up this year and blast these songs during dinner, while having guests over or any opportunity where you can disturb your friends and family.
The Vandals - Oi! To The World

Oi to the world! When I think a punk rock Christmas, I think The Vandals. If I had to chose any song from their Christmas album, I might have to go with the title track. Any family opening up Christmas presents to this album is an awesome family in my book.
No Doubt - Oi! To The World

Although The Vandals wrote the song, I feel obligated to include the awesome cover No Doubt did of this as well.

That’s a great list Nick! Definitely some classics!! But, while doing your research for this post, did you find any other versions of Silent Night? KROQ used to play one, that was live, whom I thought sounded like Pennywise. But every Christmas I search the internet and can’t find anything like that, so it must not be them. If possible, can you post a list of some other Silent Nights you’ve found? Thanks again for the list!

If you were going to include Weezer and even Weird Al you coulda also included “Last Christmas” done by JEW or “Don’t Shoot Me Santa” by The Killers…or even “Great Big Sled.”…I love The Killers =) That’s all….goodnight, travel well

No Fairytale of New York by The Pogues? It’s not their most punk song but it’s still one of my favorite Christmas songs. Also Father Christmas by The Kinks has a punk spirit.

Great list, it`s just missing `Christmas is a pain in the arse` by the Accelerators!

Hey Darlene, the song you’re talking about wouldn’t happen to be Bad Religion would it? I stumbled upon this live version of them covering Silent Night. I think I recall hearing this on KROQ’s Twisted Christmas during the holidays.
