[Video] Noel Gallagher Flies High On Letterman
Night 2 of KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas is going to be insane. Adding to the insanity — Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
The former Oasis guitarist-songwriter hopped across the pond for a few tour dates, including back-to-back at UCLA’s Royce Hall yesterday and today. To promote the recently released debut of his solo project.
Gallagher performed “If I Had A Gun” on Letterman last night, and gave us a preview of what is to come at the Gibson Amphitheater, Sunday, Dec. 12.

Nothing too fancy here — just a straight to-the-point rendition by Gallagher and his backing band. Letterman, as always, cracks a great joke at the end, request the band “try out for that American Idol thing.”
I know that Noel’s lead vocals were featured on a few tracks here and there with Oasis, but he really does have a great voice.
