Soft Swells Knock & Rock Their Way Through Laurel Canyon

When you’re a new band, it’s important to find creative ways to spread the word about your music. While posting YouTube videos and tweeting are two ways to do it, it’s always refreshing to see musicians take a different route to reach new fans. Soft Swells took this approach when they joined a web series called Knock and Rock.

In the series, bands wander around different areas of town knocking on doors asking their neighbors to allow them to have a little jam session on their living room floors. Some people are down to let complete strangers in their humble abodes to serenade them with new music, while others won’t even open their door. It’s pretty funny to see how many people actually trust a stranger enough to let them in their homes. Once the trust has been gained, it’s magical to see the results.
