Disneyland® Passes Send KROQ Listeners Into A Frenzy

I’ve learned two things since I’ve been working here. The first thing is that I have the coolest job in the world. The second thing is that you guys and gals LOVE Disneyland®.

Last week, we were giving out Disneyland® Park Hopper® Tickets and you guys and gals went bonkers. Over the weekend, we were giving out Disneyland® Deluxe Annual Passports and the phone lines were ringing off the hook! We hand out tickets to a lot of really cool events and places but KROQ listeners go CRAZY for Disneyland passes.

After handing out tickets for a few days, I began to realize that you guys and gals will do anything for passes! I felt that it was appropriate to highlight what some of our listeners would do to win their way into Disneyland. Why wouldn’t you guys and gals want to win some tickets? It is after all, it is the happiest place on Earth!

We didn't even ask for caller 20 yet and the lines are full

1. Caller: “I hate my life. I have no friends, no girlfriend and no job. Can i just go to Disneyland?”
Me: “That’s not true! I’m your friend!”
Caller: “Naw, just be a good new girlfriend and take me to Disneyland.”

2. “Do you realize if I get these tickets, I can get my kid of my back for a good two months??!! Please..stop thinking about the children and think of the mothers!”

3. Caller: “Am I caller 20?
Me: “Naw dude. You’re caller 21.”
Caller: “Aww Sh*t man! I’ve been caller 7, 11, 18 twice and now this…”

4. “I swear to all things warm and fuzzy that you guys have some conspiracy against me. Some girl with the same name as me just won tickets!”

5. “Did you know that the number Pi backwards spells out pie? I just blew your mind. Gimme tickets.”

Indeed my mind was blown...
