The Dear Hunter is the project of Casey Crescenzo, who previously was rocking around in the band The Receiving End Of Sirens.
Since 2006 Casey has released a series of albums that currently consists of Act I, Act II and Act III. Recently, Casey decided to take a break from “The Acts” to do something less ambitious. However, he wound up doing something overly ambitious: another series, this time of 9 EPs, each represented by a color (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet with Black & White added as well).
The Color Spectrum release is available in multiple formats. Right now, you can get the complete collection in an impressive vinyl box set and as a digital download. There’s also a standard version culling 11 tracks from the EPs. And starting next week, a CD box set of the full Color Spectrum collection will also be available. It’ll be released on November 1.
You can watch the video “unboxing” of the “The Color Spectrum: Complete Collection” below–as well as Last.fm Discover’s interview and live session with the Dear Hunter–and you can also pre-order the set right now.
