There's no better way to cap off two days of gaming entertainment than by blowing the roof off the convention center with an awesome rock concert.

The Foo Fighters are the biggest rock band in the world right now. With the massive success of World of Warcraft, Blizzard is now one of the biggest video game companies. It only makes perfect sense to put these two giants together.

The Foo Fighters have been announced to close out Blizzard’s huge annual convention BlizzCon and if you have ever seen the Foo’s live, you know it’s gonna rock hard.

BlizzCon will take place October 21st and 22nd at the Anaheim Convention Center. This will be the 6th time Blizzard put on the convention to celebrate the great success they have had with their Warcraft, Star Craft, and Diablo video games.

“There’s no better way to cap off two days of gaming entertainment than by blowing the roof off the convention center with an awesome rock concert,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. We're pretty sure that in the future, music historians will look back at BlizzCon 2011 as the unquestionable pinnacle of Foo Fighters' long and illustrious career

“Everyone attending BlizzCon and watching from home can look forward to ending the show with a bang when Foo Fighters bring the house down.”

“We’re pretty sure that in the future, music historians will look back at BlizzCon 2011 as the unquestionable pinnacle of Foo Fighters’ long and illustrious career,” said Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters founder and frontman. “We look forward to living up to that prediction by bringing the Horde and Alliance together to rock the hell out of Anaheim next month.”

Tickets to the convention are old out, but BlizzCon virtual tickets, which offers multi-channel internet streaming worldwide, are still available for $39.99.

Dave Grohl even made an appearance at last year’s BlizzCon when he sat behind the skins and drummed with Tenacious D.
