VH1 To Televise Nirvana: Live At The Paramount

Nirvana is one of the most iconic bands in the history of rock and on September 24th, the world will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band’s groundbreaking album Nevermind.
Along with the remastered re-release of the album, there will be a new Blu-ray/DVD of the band’s performance at the Paramount theater in Seattle. What makes this really special is that it is the only known concert shot in 16mm film (that means it’s good quality) and is the only show in Hi-Def.
Even more special is that VH1 will be televising the never-before-seen Live at the Paramount before the Blu-ray is released.
Live at the Paramount will be simulcast on VH1, VH1 Classic and Palladia on Friday September 23rd 11PM ET/PT.
The show was shot at the Paramount Theater in Seattle on Halloween in 1991 and features performances of several big hits including “Breed,” “Lithium” and “Polly,” and a cover of the Vaselines‘ “Jesus Doesn’t Want Me For a Sunbeam.”
Nirvana: Live at the Paramount will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 27th.
