Red Hot Chili Peppers Premiere Todays Track Happiness Loves Company[Gallery] Almost 30 Years Of Red Hot…

This week, we’ve brought you four fantastic tracks from the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ forthcoming album, I’m With You: “Monarchy of Roses,”Brendan’s Death Song,” “Look Around,” and yesterday’s ballad, “Police Station.”

I’m With You, which comes out on August 29th, also features the uplifting song “Happiness Loves Company.”

Closing out his exclusive video interviews with Red Hot Chili Peppers, KROQ’s Stryker learned from Anthony and Chad that no matter how many years go by, no matter how famous they get, or no matter how many times they hear themselves played on the radio, they always feel grateful and get excited.

Anthony and Chad Talk About Their Continued Excitement Over Hearing Themselves On The Radio

I remember the first time I heard a song on the radio and it still means just as much to me.
Anthony showed sincere excitement at the fact that Red Hot Chili Peppers is being played on the radio:

“I still get freaked out when old songs of ours come on the radio, ‘Hey guys! That’s us!’ It’s very exciting. I remember the first time I heard a song on the radio and it still means just as much to me.”

“I remember walking into a  Walgreens or some kind of establishment like that in Indianapolis, Indiana. And I walked in there to get my peroxide or whatever and they were playing “Other Side” and I just stopped in my tracks and was like, ‘What?’”

Chad feels the same way, saying that while he can listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers by himself, when he hears it on the radio he gets really excited that someone else is playing it.

“It doesn’t get old. It’s great. It’s cool. It’s fun. I think, ‘I can’t believe we’re on the radio. Or the song before or after and you go, ‘Wow, how cool I came after this one or before that one or whatever, you know. No, it makes it seem more real to me. Like when you play your songs yourself and you get them on CD and you put them in the car; when you just hear it on the radio, someone else is playing it!”
