[Music Video Premiere] Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Roof Top Performance In ‘The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie’

Not that we haven’t fantasized this scenario, or sat on a rooftop in Venice Beach, listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers, getting faded while the sun faded into the horizon, but Red Hot Chili Peppers always amazes us with their lifelong musical devotion to the soundscape of Los Angeles.
Sans drum circle, but with plenty of cowbell and a cameo from Venice Beach guitarist/roller-blading staple, Harry Perry, the new Marc Klasfeld-directed Red Hot Chili Peppers video for “The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie” from their upcoming album I’m With You channels the freewheeling, eclectic spirit of Venice and decades of funkified attitude from RHCP.
Besides being awesome (yes, that is our totally objective review), the video features “classic” Red Hot Chili Peppers i.e. shirtless Anthony Kiedis and teal-haired Flea doing what they do best–rocking out above a massive, albeit boardshort clad audience on a fine Los Angeles evening.

A lot like the U2 video for Where the Streets Have No Name that they did in LA….except, the Peppers did it at a more scenic location.
