Today’s KROQ Flashback: James “Born Of Frustration”
Hey fellow flashbackers! I’m gonna take a wee hiatus, a sabatical, a walkabout if you will. Thanks very much fer yer loyal support (esp., you Vincent & Scotty!). I’m playing today’s flashback for my favorite person on the planet, a one Renee Nowden (as they say) who was APD at Groove Radio ‘back in the day’.
Certain businesses like radio bring you into contact with huge amounts of humans and I’ve met so very many people over the years but it still amazes me how much more I like this one girl than all the rest of you combined (no offense!). She’s requested this song and besides being a great KROQ flashback the lyrics are worth the price of admission and even more relevant today than when the song was first released in 1992.
“Stop talking about who’s to blame when all that counts is how to change.” Words to live by.

Thank you for the flashback picks. They always make me go through my iTunes to listen to not only the picked Flashback, but other songs in the same genre and/or other songs by the same arteest!
Enjoy your walkabout and make sure to look both ways before crossing the street. Be careful of fruit bats!
As for today’s tune, it is one of my faves as well. Have you seen the new James box set?? An amazing collection to say the least. If you like James and the economy hasn’t hit you in the pocketbook, this would be a supernifty investment.

Right on Sluggster! That’s why they call ‘em “Shout Outs”. Renee Nowden must be one super woman. I’m all about the dedications. Sluggo, you sure do know how to turn one into a flashback. It’s almost as if nothing can be stopped from being flashbacked! Oh god the humanity!?!?!??? Wait! That’s a good thing. Rock on The Sluoooog! I await until next flashback. Damn that Randy’s hit me heavy. Not glossy, but just mind freaked. Keep ‘em rippin’ bra! 90′S RULES!!!!!
