Forget The Lengthy Summer Blockbusters. Michael Rousselet Talks To Kevin & Bean About 5-Second Films

For those of you with a super short attention span (like Kevin), please allow me to introduce you to 5-Second Films. I mean, when a film is only 5 seconds, can you really be that opposed to watching it? Well, maybe if it’s really terrible you might be opposed, but when it’s a clever as these, it’s tough to object!

One of the guys behind these super short cinematic pieces is Michael Rousselet, who came alongside his buddy, creator, Brian Firenzi a few years back, and the 5 second magic has been picking up speed ever since.

With 700+ films in the can (a new film every Monday-Friday), and plenty more to come, the 5-Second Film crew has gained recognition from celebrities and publications alike.

Rousselet said that the collaborations with Patton Oswalt happened after he saw the films featured on Cracked.com, and became a fan. When the guys heard this, they invited him to be in some of the films, and Oswalt couldn’t be more willing to contribute!

” Michael Rousselet According to Rousselet, “Nobody makes money off of the internet, you know that!” Bean further prompted him to give more details thinking they must make money somehow and learned that they get somewhere around five million page views a month and that the “ads do kinda help take care of some of costs.”

Now, you have hundreds of films… Are there any with boobies in any of them and can you direct me to those?” asked Bean. “Uhh, no, not full-on boobies,” replies Michael. Kevin interrupts with “OK, then, thanks for joining us, nice talking to you, we gotta go.” Michael’s responded with ”We need a bigger budget for those.”
