Linkin Park To Play Intimate Benefit Show For Tsunami Survivors

“
We thank you in advance for your help in providing the much needed support for the children impacted by the earthquake and tsunami.
”
Linkin Park sent out an awesome challenge to their fans today — raise $500 or more to help the tsunami victims of Japan, and you’ll score two tickets to a secret (well, not anymore!) show at an intimate venue in Los Angeles Aug. 31.
LP’s non-profit, Music for Relief, is putting on the show — which includes one of the biggest bands in Japan, ever, rock duo B’z. All of the proceeds raised for the concert will go towards child care services and financial support to children in need after the devastating tsunami and earthquake destruction in Japan.
Any and all local Linkin Park fans need to start their fundraising now, which you can do here. (Be sure to watch the video of Mike Shinoda and Dave “Phoenix” Farrell dispensing the details.)
The first 500 to reach the $500 goal will be able score a pair of tickets. The top 50 fundraisers will also get some special stuff including the top money raiser receiving VIP passes, a chance to meet the band and a signed instrument!
“We have spent a considerable amount of time in Japan over the past 11 years and it continues to be one of our favorite places to tour,” said drummer Rob Bourdon. “We thank you in advance for your help in providing the much needed support for the children impacted by the earthquake and tsunami.”
It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see your favorite band up-close and personal for a great cause.
