It’s fair to say the Beastie Boys are one of my favorite bands of all time. I own all of their albums, on multiple formats (primarily vinyl and digital, although I’m sure I can dig up a cassette of Licensed to Ill somewhere at my dad’s house). I’ve seen them live countless times. So, in honor of the recent release of their kick-ass album Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, which I can’t stop listening to, I thought I’d share some of my favorite Beasties songs with you.

It’s so hard to pick favorites when they have so many great songs like party hits Brass Monkey, Fight For Your Right, Intergalactic, Ch-Check It Out, and now Make Some Noise can be added to that collection. Paul Revere’s always been on of my tops as well as Posse In Effect and Time To Get Ill from the same album. Some of my favorite lesser-known ones are Get It Together, Car Thief, 3-Minute Rule, An Open Letter To NYC, and Hey F**k You (that song’s hilarious). Beastie Boys are the best!
