[Video] Linkin Park Perform Live At Red Square And KROQ Winners Were There!
Linkin Park perform live in Russia's Red Square
Can you imagine being flown to Russia to see your favorite bands play live? Well, that’s what happened to one KROQ listener. Elizabeth from Covina won the trip
“
Red Square was way different than I had imagined.
”
to see Linkin Park perform in one of the most historic places on the planet, Moscow’s Red Square.
“It was a fast trip but it was amazing. It was unlike anything I’ve every experienced. Red Square was way different than I had imagined. The government is so weird over there that the show almost got canceled. They’re super strict. But it went on and it was great.”
“We saw the premiere of Transformers 3 in the same theater that the Moscow film festival was using so there was a lot of Russian press.”
“We did a lot sight-seeing, went on a boat tour, some shopping, saw the Kremlin, Lenin’s tomb, the KGB headquarters etc. I got to walk across the Moscow river. But, I have to say it’s not an English-friendly area. It was super difficult just to order food at restaurants. Hardly anyone spoke English. It seemed that most of the other tourists were from other European countries. But the challenge was fun.”
“Linkin Park played a set that was much longer than we expected. It was amazing. It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime trip.”
