June 21, 2011 11:30 am
Well we all have our different taste in line ups. A personally this is alright but its not worth the drive all the way to Irvine. Im kind of dissapointed in Epicenter moving it to the OC again, instead leaving it in the IE. In a way i thought Inland Invasion and Epicenter was like a gift to there IE listeners, so that instead of driving all the way to the OC. It was just a short drive away. and plus im just really disappointed in the headliners.
Erika H
June 21, 2011 1:00 pm
YEEESSS!!! I live in Riverside and always looked forward to the Inland Invasion concert! I became sad and dissapointed when they took it out.I had the best time flashing back!.I am a listener since 1986!.so I know what you mean.PLEASE KROQ. Bring this concert bak!! All your IE listeners will be greatfull (me included).

June 22, 2011 5:44 pm
Moving it to the OC Again? This is the first year this show has been held in the OC (Pomona and Fontucky are not in the OC).
justin
June 23, 2011 12:04 pm
Yeah i mest up, to clarify Epicenter is basically the new name what KROQ used to Inland Invasion, which was held of in the IE, and a couple of years back moved it to the OC . And now Epicenter moved to OC once AGAIN.

limp bizkit!! yeahh!!
Alex
June 21, 2011 2:52 pm
I think the line-up is great! It’s about time we had an LA/OC station that plays heavier stuff. I’m hoping this means KROQ will actually start playing these bands, since most of them are heavier than their typical stuff. I gotta agree that this lineup would be quite improved without Limp Bizkit though…

Dude, why is everybody being so negative? Why do people on the internet have to trash everything? KROQ is the Sh*t! This line-up is the Sh*t! and Limp Bizkit is the Sh*t!

June 21, 2011 6:48 pm
The only group id wanna see is Limp Bizkit…just to bring back great memories of the late 90s and early 2000s. Last year was EPICenter…..with EMINEM. They had to have it at Auto Club Speedway just because EMINEM, they knew EM would bring ‘em out! EMS an ICON.
Jimmy
June 21, 2011 6:51 pm
EMINEM is the BIGGEST arist in the world. EMS an ICON. Last year was AMAZING to see EVERYONE leaving after EMINEM ROCKED THE HELL OUTTA IT! EM could SELLOUT the LA Coliseum by himself easily. Limp Bizkit!

June 21, 2011 7:42 pm
Well its about damn time man! What was it, like last week that the Sexy phone-op Sadie kicked out a post about Limp Bizkits new album dropping and then I commented that LB needed to play a gig for all the SoCal LBF…and now here we are… Like McDonalds, “I’m Lovin’ It!”. Seriously! All the little children born after 1985 can wipe the bubbling drool off their ignorant infant lips and suck it! Same goes for the over 40 narrow minded pusses who think music shouldn’t be rough and wild! I think Limp Bizkit is purely for the Generation X era and not those who were teenagers in the 80′s and then went to college in the early 90′s, but actual true hearted Gen Xer’s who were pre-teens at the beginning of the decade and college bound at the end of it. I quote Airheads, “If it’s TOO LOUD…you’re TOO OLD.”… plain and simple. I’m glad KROQ has decided to rep LBF’s all over SoCal to bring us some heavy head bangin’ for the summer heat in the fall! Great job KROQ! I’m gonna see how my luck fares with ticketmaster the day of the presale. Have to wait and see. All I know is I want PIT TICKETS so I can finally mosh to Limp Bizkit and celebrate my freedoms of expression!!! “My god, has it been that long…” -Doc Brown. One important question though…will it it be streamed live like last years??? Cause I love that concept of KROQ concerts being broadcast live on the internet. As if it were some huge special event, which I always think it is. Either way! Right on KROQ for reppin’ all the wild and crazy kids out there who actually want to have fun in life and not act like bitter old women! IImII “…If you got the guts…Head For The Barricade…then come on down…Head For The Barricade…if you got the guts…Head For The Barricade…then come on down…AND HEAD FOR THE BARRICADE!!! FIGHT!…FIGHT!…FIGHT!…FIGHT! Get up! Get up! FIGHT! FIGHT! Get up! Get up! FIGHT! FIGHT! Head For The Barricade.” -Limp Bizkit. Oh! And I am glad that LB has decided to grace us with a SoCal date but I am still hellbent on wanting to see LB at the Palladium! I just think intimate gigs make the shows that much more greater of an experience.

I’m 44 years old and I love Limp Bizkit. I just wish KROQ would play other LB songs besides “Nookie”.
Michael
June 21, 2011 8:44 pm
This is a total throwback to 10 years ago and I love it! They did this a few years ago with all 80s bands and that sold well. I think this is pretty sweet and will go for sure.

June 22, 2011 1:03 am
I think this is a pretty good line-up but it’s looking just a tad bit similar to the Rock Allegiance line-up. All your missing is Red and Crossfade.
Erik
June 22, 2011 4:00 pm

I think I’ll save the $$ I’d spend on gas to Irvine and put it towards a ticket to L.A. Rising here in town. Rage + Muse? No contest. I’d fly to see that unicorn.

June 23, 2011 10:56 am
Could KROQ ever use any extra photographers? I have tickets to Incubus, QOTSA, Foo Fighters (both nights) and now Epicenter. Just wondering. 0:] (And I went to LP, Bad Religion/Rise Against, QOTSA, the Railroad Revival Tour, Flogging Molly and Weenie Roast.)
… I was in contact with Adrian before, so now I’m just curious.
Amanda
June 23, 2011 1:40 pm
P.S.
I know that it’s none of my business, but I still don’t understand why people bother to comment on event pages or band pages if they’re only dating something negative. I mean, what’s the point of telling a band that you liked their music better ten years ago and now you think that it’s crap? If you’re really a fan of the band, you like all of their music; you might favor certain albums or songs, but you still like all of the band’s stuff. And commenting on the line up for a show? Really? If you don’t like the line up or show, don’t comment. There’s no point. Yes, I may not be too stoked about LB being chosen as the headlining band, but I’m still excited to see POM (again), P.O.D. (again) and Staind (again) and I’m looking forward to Chevelle, Buckcherry and Skillet. So anyway, I guess my point is if you’re truly a fan of music, be respectful.

June 23, 2011 12:06 pm
BTW tickets start as low as $26 not $20 :/ false advertisement which I wouldn’t mind if headliner WASN”T Limp Bizkit. Idk if I can hang with listening to Fred Durst for an hour
Julie
June 23, 2011 4:16 pm
Dude this line up is amazing. Sort of. The headliners are great. I’d love to see Staind, Papa Roach, Chevelle, and Five Finger Death Punch – everyone else, not so much. Not worth the $90 though – I’d rather spend that on Uproar fest to see Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, and Seether. :/
Antonio
June 23, 2011 4:28 pm
have you seen Limp Bizkit videos of them performing in huge European festivals 2009-2010 they can still put on a show but American music goers tend to be very lousy Im not sure i want to pay money to go to a lousy festival

June 23, 2011 8:37 pm
This is such an awesome lineup!!! Where was this concert 7 years ago? Im 29 but i’m going to feel like im 22 again:) Limp Bizkit and his Flip/Flawless labelmates Staind and Puddle of Mudd back together on one stage. I’ve reggeted never seen an LB concert in my youth so this is like a 2nd chance for me. P.O.D is also awesome, 5FDP should be fun (does KROQ even play them?), and Middle Class Rut and Redlight King are great up and coming bands (RK’s Old Man has a retro late 90s/ early 2000s sound to it). Linkin Park, Kid Rock, and Eminem are the only bands that could make this bill better (and dropping Buckcherry). This year’s Epicenter is a much more compatible lineup then last year’s randomly placed Blink 182, Eminem, and Kiss. I will definitely be driving down to OC from SLO to see this concert:)
Alex
June 23, 2011 8:56 pm
Gonna go specifically for Five Finger Death Punch.

June 24, 2011 1:08 pm
I remember seeing Limp Bizkit at Summer Sanitarium in Denver. The venue was Invesco Field at Mile High. That lineup was sick: Metallica, Linkin Park, Deftones, Mudvayne, and Limp Bizkit. They all put on one of hell of a show and that was my second concert ever and I’m up to 50+. I remember when Fred Durst owned not only the stage but the football field itself. That performance will always stick with me.
Sareth Ney
June 24, 2011 1:14 pm
One more comment and then I’m out… I remember seeing P.O.D. and Staind at the Fall Brawl Tour at The Fillmore in Denver. The lineup: Staind, P.O.D., Taproot, and Flyleaf. All of the performances were great and I knew Flyleaf were going to make it big. However, it wasn’t until Sonny sang the chorus to “Alive”. That moment will always be with me. I had my devil horns up and everyone put their hands down. I kept mine up and Sonny noticed. He looked right at me and we sang the chorus several times. After that, they had a meet and greet. I thanked Sonny because that song saved my life.
Jesse
June 24, 2011 7:43 pm
Ummmm, I’d go if Five Finger Death Punch was headlining with Staind. But I guess on the plus side, you’ve got bands like Buckcherry, P.O.D, and Papa Roach to take your bathroom break during and you can leave before Limp Bizkit gets on and beat the traffic leaving.

June 26, 2011 2:36 am
So let me get this straight, this is going to be a rock concert? And KROQ actually sponsors it? Where are all the hipster bands? Where’s the douches with full beards, sweaters, and skinny jeans plucking a banjo or playing the upright bass? This must be a joke because as we all know, KROQ doesn’t play rock music anymore.
cori
June 26, 2011 12:26 pm
even the 2009 line up was to die for and just as cheap as this years, still cant wait to go! its advertised as 17 bands but 16 are listed, whos 17th?

Limps gonna tear sh*t up!
Alex
June 29, 2011 11:53 pm
Five Finger Death Punch? Seriously??? That band sucks ass. This entire bill looks is one big nu-metal fest. If you really wanted to do a good show and sell it out, why don’t you add Deftones, Slipknot or KORN! At least those 3 bands will blow those bands out the water. Seriously kroq, please add one of those 3 bands to bill. Preferably KORN!!!!
Alex.

Really F****** Bull when you take Chevelle off the bill after they were on the original poster. It’s a slap in the face to fans. Fans that buy tickets from scalpers to get into the pit just to see them. Thought Epicenter was gradually getting better each year. Hopefully a big name gets added late.
