Trent Reznor And Karen O Cover Led Zeppelin In New Movie Trailer

The multi-talented Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails has unveiled an amazing cover version of Led Zeppelin‘s “Immigrant Song” featuring the vocal talents of Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
The song is part of the soundtrack for director David Fincher’s upcoming film “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.” The movie’s based on the first novel of the best-selling “Millennium series” by late Swedish author Stieg Larsson. The roughly one-minute red band trailer for the film features the duo’s take on the “Immigrant Song” with Karen O filling in impressively for Robert Plant‘s original vocals.
The movie footage is striking by itself, but the addition of this cover song – the famous wail with notable Nine Inch Nail-style beats and Karen O’s always distinctive voice – makes it stunning, even though the film is calling itself the “Feel Bad Movie Of Christmas.”
This is not the first time Trent Reznor has collaborated with David Fincher. He made his debut composing for feature films last year with Fincher’s ”The Social Network,” and won a Golden Globe and Academy Award for his work. This unlikely collaboration could easily become one of the legendary director/musician pairings, like Alfred Hitchcock and Bernard Hermann or David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti.
