Looking for an epic end-of-the-summer road trip? Look no further than the three amazing music festivals that were just announced, featuring plenty of cool bands. Austin City Limits, San Francisco’s Outside Lands and Pearl Jam’s 20th Anniversary Labor Day bash are a road trip.
If L.A. Rising just wasn’t enough to quench your mid-summer thirst, Muse will headline San Francisco’s Outside Land Festival August 12-14 at the stunning Golden Gate Park.
Arcade Fire, Black Keys and MGMT will co-headline along with Weenie Roast 2011 artists Foster the People along side dozens of other bands during the three-day festival. Ticket info can be found here.

Pearl Jam diehards are licking their chops today, as the Seattle grunge gods announced their 20th anniversary weekend festival for Labor Day Weekend.
KROQ-favorites Queens of the Stone Age and Weenie Roasters The Strokes will be joining Eddie Vedder and company for the holiday weekend in Alpine Valley, Wisconsin. Ticket info is a click away here, and don’t forget to bring the lighter for “Jeremy”.

Ummmm, not to rain on your parade but Phish is much higher up on the Outside Lands bill than Black Keys and MGMT. In fact they are the only act who will be allowed to play two 90 minute sets.
They are also the reason I am going to Outside Lands this year. Fun acts like MGMT, Decemberists etc are just an added bonus to the worlds greatest band
