The show is call “L.A. RISING” clearly this is not a tour but rather a show to bring awareness.

I think its simple. They’ve have a big following and they sell tix. I understand that people want to see other bands, but it’s still a business. They can’t always get the bands they want because of cost, scheduling, whatever. If Rise Against is willing to play and they sell seats why wouldn’t KROQ want them there

geez, you get rage and muse in the same day and people are complaining. I have an idea, just show up 30 mins before Muse starts. You won’t have to worry ab the people you don’t like. Also, don’t credit KROQ for this, it’s Rage and Goldenvoice. KROQ just gets to add their name and mooch off of it. KROQ festivals like Weenie Roast and Epicenter have been pretty lame for the most part (other than Tool of course).

Actually, the only reason most of these concerts are successful is because of KROQ, even if they aren’t actual KROQ Shows (like weenie roast, almost acoustic Christmas), the promoters partner with KROQ because frankly it’s the best form of marketing.

If anyone talks sh*t about Rise Against then they clearly don’t know Rise Against..I used to HATE them because i had no clue who they were and i thought they were just another wannabe punk group but they are a great band who makes music for what they believe in and they do it for their loyal fans like me!

Tickets are never sold out at 10am. The Ticketmaster computers are just overwhelmed. Imagine 20,000 people trying to all get tickets at the same time. Click refresh and keep trying. That’s how we do it. We try at 10am just like everyone else. Mainly cause it doesn’t rain free tickets on us like everyone thinks. So, we buy our own, at least, we try. Some of us get tickets and some don’t. Weenie took over two hours to tell out. The fastest we’ve ever seen a show sell out is Acoustic Christmas a few years ago at six minutes.

Intending to come all the way from Scotland for this show. Saw Muse live last year and it was the greatest night of my life, they are an absolutely incredible band. And if Rage (my other favourite band) are half as good live as I’ve been told then this night should top it. Just need to go about the small business of getting tickets and then flights and then a place to stay… If anyone in LA wants to give me their couch for a night or two I’d love you forever.

For those hating on Rise Against: I have inadvertently seen them twice, they aren’t terrible and quite a talented bunch. However, they are getting overexposure to the point where it seems as if they are trying to stay relevant by accepting EVERY invite they get to do a show. Consider this, when I accidentally saw them twice, the first was opening for Jay-z/Linkin Park and No Doubt then The Game and Korn. This was over five years ago with a wide range of musical tastes, overexposing yourself much?

Let me guess Jon, you’re the type of person that believes whatever you’re told. You don’t think for yourself and stand up for what you believe in. You think people who bring awareness to injustices are hippies and the only way you’re allowed to voice your opinion is if you fight in a war.
Well I feel sorry for you. Hopefully one day you’ll understand that the brain in your head can produce thoughts and opinions about subjects that other people may not agree with…including the people that are in power. And those thoughts and opinions can be expressed to others that share the same view??? WOW….what a concept.
I will be 1 of 90,000 proud whining hippies at the coliseum on Saturday with a smile on my face and my fist in the air.

muse is my favorite band and ive been listening to rage since i was a little girl… i almost cried when they broke up and when i heard they got back together i about pissed myself haha. both playing at the same event? I HAVE TO GO!!!!! i dont think i can afford a ticket and still manage to pay bills. LAME
