KROQ Weenie Roast 2011 Artist Spotlights – Linkin Park, Rise Against, The Strokes And More!

LINKIN PARK
Photo Gallery: Kevin & Bean’s…One-Line Bio: Aggressive Agoura Hills rap-metal band proves the music industry wrong by successfully creating a unique hybrid of two disparate genres, rap and rock, while subsequently furthering an entirely new musical movement and intelligently evolving with the current state of music to manifest a completely one-of-a-kind sound.
Current Band Members: Chester Bennington (vocals), Mike Shinoda (vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboard, production), Rob Bourdon (drums), Brad Delson (lead guitar, backing vocals), David “Phoenix” Farrell (bass guitar, backing vocals), Joe Hahn (turntables, keyboard, samples, backing vocals)
Breakout Single: “Crawling”
Why They’re Awesome: While Linkin Park appeals to a wide group of people with their brash, loud energy, the band treats their music like a great cerebral, artistic endeavor–imbuing their lyrics and live performances with a kind of intelligence and humor that enriches their fans.
Current Single: “Iridescent”
