[photogallerylink id=105658]Northern Irish rockers, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Two Door Cinema Club[/lastfm] ended things at the KROQ Coachella House 2011 with a set of songs before talking to Stryker about touring with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Phoenix[/lastfm], their experience in Los Angeles and their album Tourist History.
The fair-skinned musicians didn’t let the blazing sun impede their ability to rock the socks off the KROQ Coachella house. They started their set with their single “What You Know” and “Something Good Can Work.”
The guys talked about how this Coachella is the first time they’ve ever been to a desert, making mention about how hot and dry it is in comparison with their typical Northern Ireland weather.
[pullquote quote=”All of the sudden we were playing the Troubadour in LA.”]They talked about how their first time in America they played at the world-famous Troubadour, an incredibly historic venue:
“All of the sudden we were playing the Troubadour in LA.”
While in Los Angeles, they rented a mustang and summoned their inner Angeleno and drove through the Hollywood Hills. The guys joked with Stryker about the differences they noticed in LA including lots of cars and super white teeth.
They explained that touring with Phoenix established a relationship with the band and how awesome it was seeing the difference between European audiences and American audiences.
They’re performing on the Main Stage tonight, which Stryker pointed out was a super big deal. However, the guys said that the pressure to perform doesn’t come from their fans but from the other bands that might be watching.
However, we know after watching them that they’ll be awesome.
