[Listen] Sage Francis “Three Sheets To The Wind” Demo Featuring Chris Walla Of Death Cab For Cutie

Sage Francis is beginning the process of releasing a series of demos from his most recent album LI(F)E, which dropped last May. As a fan, it’s always cool to hear the development of a song from it’s early stages.

The first demo to hit the internet is for the track “Three Sheets To The Wind.” The music from this track is done by Chris Walla from Death Cab For Cutie, and the demo is slowed down with a way grungier feel to it. Both are dope versions of the song, but take a listen to the demo that Sage released last Friday and decide for yourself.

“This “Three Sheets to the Wind” demo is the first in a long series of demos I hope to release from my LI(F)E album. Anyone who knows the album version will notice that this demo version is much slower than they’re used to. Also the music is less aggressive. While most of the demos have more of a hiphop feel, this one is still on the indie-rock tip. The music is by Chris Walla from Death Cab for Cutie and the demo was recorded in 2008 in Sage Francis’ home studio. The LI(F)E album is available now on CD, double LP and MP3.” – Sage
