Help Us Find The Bad Dodger Fans Who Put A Man In A Coma

By now you have heard the tragic story about the San Francisco Giants fan who was attacked from behind, thrown to the pavement, and kicked while leaving Dodger Stadium after a game the other day.

The L.A. City Council, the Dodgers and the Giants have teamed up to offer more than $100,000 to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the cowards who committed this violent crime.

The victim’s name is Bryan Stow and he is a paramedic and father of two from Santa Cruz. CBS Sports reports “he suffered a severe skull fracture and bad bruising to his brain’s frontal lobes,” said Dr. Gabriel Zada, a neurosurgeon.

At one point, doctors had to remove the entire left side of his skull to ease pressure on his brain. The pressure is now normal but Stow remains in a coma from his injuries and from sedation to reduce his brain activity, Zada said, (adding) “there is evidence of brain injury and dysfunction.”

The Kevin & Bean Show has heard from a paramedic co-worker at American Medical Response and are told that Bryan’s expenses are piling up and that his “insurance is not covering all the cost.”

Can you help? Will you help?

The men who beat Bryan represent the tiniest minority of Dodger fans and of Los Angelenos. It’s up to the rest of us to make sure he and his family know that by making sure he can afford the medical care he needs to survive right now and for the long road to recovery ahead.

American Medical Response and the family have set up a couple of accounts to help out.

It’s idiots like these that give us real Dodgers’ fans a bad name. Hope this guy is able to make a full recovery.

I agree. Like you said they make us real Dodger fans look dumb. Losers can’t control their alcohol and end up doing stupid stuff. My prayers go out to his family especially his children. May God be with him on his recovery.

im a bleeding blue dodgers fan and those two are some cowards! What was done to that man was terribly wrong. From one baseball fan to another, Brian Stow’s family and friends can definitely count on my help!

Thoughts and prayers for the Stow family.
I wouldn’t even go as far to call them fans. They’re not. They’re an insult to true baseball fans who come to games to actually watch baseball and can interact peacefully and respectfully with opposing fans.

Just a bunch of wanna-be gangbangers thinkin there tough stuff by beating up an innocent baseball fan. These two posers will get what’s coming to them once there locked up in the dog house. Pull through Bryan Stow! I hope you make a full recovery and find strength and healing through your process of recovery.

They don’t deserve being called “fans.” They’re pieces of crap. I hope they get whatever they deserve. LAPD needs to do more to protect the real fans at these games. Last summer we went to the Dodgertown Brooklyn game. My step-kids were visiting from Brooklyn, NY and my husband is also from Brooklyn and a Mets fan. It was a fun event… until we got to the parking lot and were walking towards the car. These big, nasty gangbanger a-holes (males & females) came walking up behind us and started throwing insults at us. (Mind you, I was in Dodger gear & so was my daughter.) They were cursing & making threatening remarks. All I could think about was getting to the car as fast as possible and getting the kids in the car. It was scary, but we were really lucky to get out safely.

I can only hope and pray that Mr. Stow recovers and I am so very sorry that he and his family are going through this at the hands of some pieces of sh*t that call themselves “fans.” I say the Dodgers organization puts up signs “We refuse the right to refuse admission to anyone.” and KEEPS OUT any gangbangers. The ACLU can kiss my ass!

Raise the ticket prices and you will alleviate the problem..

This cements the reason why I will never attend another Dodger game.

Such a tragedy. It’s a FREAKIN’ game. It sucks when fans evolve into fanatics. I pray for Bryan and his family.

April 6, 2011 11:33 am

They said Bryan would be a vegetable if he pulled through so these guys are basically murderers. These wanna be gangsters are real pussies, they can never fight one on one cuz they know they’ll get beat down no matter who the other person is. The big thing that also sucks about this is that his two friends ran off like little b*tches when he got attacked when they could have took those dumbass guys like nothing but instead ran off and allowed there friend to get beaten and get repeatedly kicked while on the floor, some friends he had. And of course, people just watch others beat on someone instead of stepping in and doing something about it.

Man f**kin stupid ass gangsters…. To whoever did this dont worry god is going to get you…. I never been to a Dodger game for this simple reason, I’d rather go watch it at a bar than to end up getting jumped in the damn parking lot. F**king Punk ass gangster bitch made f**ks. This sux. Where did we go wrong with these 2? Maybe some undercover officers with visiting t-shirts might help the situation. Sh#t like these 2 deserve a 9 shoved up their a$$es.

My thoughts go to Stow. I hope there is a full recovery.

Wow this is really sad. The only thing people try to do when they are in a baseball game is have fun and enjoy the game live, and of course there is always IDIOTS that ruined that.Wether they get caught or not Karma is nasty. The only thing we can all do is pray for the recovery and family and also for the 2 guys so they can turn themselves in.

Dodger fan 4 life here, yet my heart breaks for this giant fan. I don’t have slot, but going to donate what I would be giving to the McCourts this year instead if going to one less game….Best of luck to him and his.

whoa! this is a really sad story and event to be brought down on true and non fighting Dodger fans. Now once again we are all observed as violent-aggressive fans. Like “Hazel” said, Karma is nasty and those 2 individuals will pay some how. Best wishes to Stow and his family.

Unfortunately, I do agree in raising the prices on those tickets. People who have more to loose may not do that versus these guys. Again, they’re probably fluffing the donkeys at their donkey shows.

Had to be latinos man! these two f#cks make us all look like a bunch of rag tag thugs.

What happened on Opening Day was a senseless act. I agree that these punk-ass wannabe gangsters do not deserve to be called Dodger fans. What they did was cowardly and I hope they get what it is coming to them….Karma is a BITCH!!!

These so-called Dodger fans give all of us true Latino/Mexican fans a bad name. We are NOT all like that. The acts of two fucken idiots should not label ALL Mexicans as being like them. Sadly though, that’s what usually happens. Most of us go to cheer on our boys in blue and have a good time with our friends and family. Motherf#*&@! like them ruin what should be a happy experience for everyone.

My heart hurts for Bryan Stow and his family. I hope that he is able to recover and continue to live a happy life. I wish the best for his children. May God Bless the Stow Family.

I saw a good idea in the front page of the Valley newspaper today. Next time the Giants are in town, everyone wear the Giants orange and black colors in support for this SF fan. Pretty much says ‘hey you bastards, come take on all of us!’ We’re all Bryan Stow fans at Giants games now.

mike
April 6, 2011 7:14 pm

Those two totally look like COWARDS!! They look more like butt buddies. All gang bangers are cowards though. If anything the Dodger organization should cover all the hospital expenses since this happened in their parking lot. I think a Giant fan got shot and killed there also a few years back. They need better police protection since they let scum like that in. Our prayers go out to him and his family.

Suspects in beating arrested and shot on the spot. End of story. No need for another kanagroo court. No need to listen to more mindless media rambling about idiotic things that have nothing to do with justice. No more I hate white illegal alien offspring getting away with “kickin” it in jail with the homeboys and getting free medical care while the victim’s family goes BANKRUPT paying his friggin’ bills. Wouldn’t that be real justice? Just arrest them. ANd them use them for whatever you’re using monkeys and rats for now. I’m not kidding. For reals man, this sh*t has to end. No more get whitey. These type of guys HATE white men. They want to kill you. They resent you. Meanwhile, you’re sent to another tolerance training class. These gangsters in mexican and black gangs HATE whites. When will you compromised beatend down white guys get that. NOT one more white man should EVER attend a tolerance training class again. If you do, you are a weak, pathetic idiot who only fuels the I hate whitey and want to see them all suffer animals who want your jobs, wives and everything else you have, without working for none of it. Viva la raza? Viva this you scumbags.

    rudedog
    April 7, 2011 1:16 pm

I like how white people like you are ok with hating others but can’t take when others hate you! All that’s happening is that’s sh*ts coming back to you for the countless years of violence and hate towards other cultures! What happened has nothing to do with the dude being White and the low lives who did this being Mexican…it has everything with them being stupid! I hope that this fan pulls out of it and I hope that these two f**kers get caught! From a proud Mexican Dodger fan!

      Why Do Mexicans Do This?
      April 8, 2011 1:48 pm

It is a growing trend amongst dark, short, little bald headed wanksters that act stupid at sports events. They do this shit at Laker’s games, Raiders games, etc. You’re angry because the offending people are part of your people and everytime something like this happens, a little bit of hate comes your way. Why don’t you teach your people how to act.

Why is it that other teams fans don’t act like raging idiots like some, not all dodger/Raider fans? Words can be said but c’mon beating some guy down? It’s F**KING basebal!! Get over it!! Losers. What ever happened to respect for each other? I hope these guys are beat down repeatedly.

Being hispanic, this sh*t is embarassing and a disgrace. I hate when these wannabe Dodger fans take it to the point where they want to act gangster about it, it’s so pathetic and ignorant! I wish the family well and hope this guy recovers soon.

Why is the Media blowing this up? where was the Natl attention for the Angel fight last year (opening day) where the man died? where was the media for the Phillies game opening day beating death? its because it was a white man beat up by Latino, hope he survives but its obvious this is Racially motivated

    Chronic Crusader
    April 9, 2011 11:30 am

What are you talking about both those stories were all over the news. I remember both of them, and believe me they were top story. You just feel butt hurt because you feel that everybody hates these guys because there mexican. let me clear it up for you, we all hate them because there cowards who jumped a man from behind. Also for your info I would hate them if they did it to any race of person even another mexican. They assaulted a few different Giants fans, this poor guy is the only one who might die from there actions. I will agree that there is a racial card in play when I assumed that the two men were gang-banging mexicans before even seeing the mugshots, but my assumptions were right. When your assumptions in cases like these are continuously right, then there is some validity in the assumption. I think it has more to do with uneducated gang-bangers attending sporting events than it does with your theory.Your theory being that it is some kind of cosmic pay back for whitey taking your land or oppressing your people. I think that you are just as racist if you believe that white people of today should be held accountable for sins in the past that they had nothing to do with.

Embarassing for Hispanic Angelenos and “real” Dodger fans. What a senseless act to do to change a guy’s life. Two “wanna be” gangbangers who obviously should not be on the streets. Sick to my stomach that people would do this to other human being. My heart aches for Bryan and his family and friends & thoughts are prayers to them all. No one should have to go through anything like this ever, no matter what race, especially at a baseball game!

April 8, 2011 1:39 pm

What can brown do to you?

anonymous
April 8, 2011 4:34 pm

Why didn’t these changes get implemented back in 2003?!?!!
What happened in 2003 you ask?

This happened: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?id=1625187

A Giants fan, yes a SF Giants fan, was SHOT & KILLED, in the Dodgers Parking Lot.
Yes. The same Dodgers Parking Lot that this recent attack took place in.

One has to ask if RACE & ETHNICITY has a major part as to the changes done now, and not then.

In 2003, the victim was 25 Y/O Marc Antenorcruz, who was Filipino-American. (Rest in Peace.)
In 2011, the victim was 42 Y/O Bryan Stow, who is Caucasian/White. (God Bless him, his kids & family.)

The beating of Bryan Stow, God-willing will not be fatal, BUT the SHOOTING DEATH of Marc Antenorcruz was FATAL.

If the Dodgers Organization are reacting to this current assault with this much gusto, when the victim is still alive, WHY DIDN’T THEY REACT THIS WAY WHEN THE VICTIM WAS SHOT TO DEATH?????

In 2003, would we have seen these changes in security detail been made IF the 2003 Shooting Victim was Caucasian/White?? My guess. Absolutely Yes.

In 2011, would we have seen these changes in security been made IF the victim of assault was non Caucasian/White? My guess. Probably Not. Look back to 2003.

Oh dear family: We are so so sorry. Why did this happen? What is happening here and in this country. I blaim the “haters” and we all know who they are in the media. They are pulling this country apart. First thing: SHUT DOWN HATE RADIO and HATE CABLE TV. The haters have placed a target on hispanics. Hispanics in LA are loved by most Angelinos for the culture (THEIR culture), their goodness and their love of family, and let us not forget their hard work. Some hispanics in LA put USC and Dodgers up on a pedistal and wear the colors, but most likely will never step a foot into those organizations. No excuse. But hate kills. Listen RADIO LA, could we have a love- in like when I was young in Boston. It was awesome. I was in my early twenties. Could we bring it to LA now? ? Using good radio and good music and peace talk, could we get all of us together? Otherwise, we will not survive as a state, a country, or universe. Peace dear Stow Family and heal dear Bryan; hear our prayers. Please stay with us. We will try our best to bring you back. Stay, please. Pure love and true prayers are heading your way. The Flanagans…Jim, Char and Sean

I agree. When I heard the news I didn’t even need to see the mugshots. I already knew what they would like. A couple of shaved head cholo wanna-bee’s.Thats just your average Dodgers fan. On the other hand when you go to the bay to see a raiders game it’s the same thing, stupid shaved head cholo gang bangers. I think we all know how hospitable the raider nation is. So in conclusion it isn’t the team or the city to blame, it’s just stupid gang banging mexicans.

Everyone is making this a dodger fan vs a giant fan. When in reality it’s not. 1st off let me send my regards to scott and his family for anyone to go through that is horrible. Now let me make my point. There has been many beatings and shootings and dodger stadium. But why is this one incident in the media so much? Is it because he is white? Is it because he is a fir fighter? Why do they value more Scott’s life then all the others?
