Snoop’s New Drink “Blast” May Not Hit Shelves

Early this week I posted a story about the banned drink Four Loko. There is now another drink joining the “banned party-in-a-can club.”
Blast, Snoop Dogg’s new caffeinated alcoholic beverage is facing a threat of being banned from stores a month before it even hits shelves.
The drink is apart of the Colt 45 family and will be manufactured by Pabst Brewing Company. Blast will contain 12% alcohol content in every 23.5 ounce drink. No to mention coming in a variety of deliciously fruity flavors.
Blast is being accused of having their drink taste too much like soda which will encourage young people to drink. I say screw them and the FDA, who claims that they’ve warned people about caffeinated alcohol drinks being unsafe.
Don’t hold the man down! He already made a sexy commercial to promote his drink and the lifestyle you can have if you drink Blast.
Hey Snoop send a case my way!

There’s a huge assumption in this article. Just because an alcoholic drink tastes like soda doesn’t mean kids will be encouraged to drink BLAST. Zima always tasted like Sprite. Smirnoff tastes like Squirt. Additionally, when is KROQ going to play that Snoop Dogg song with Rage Against the Machine called Bounce?
Hey Sluggo! Play this for your flashback.

I work for a company that distributes Loko….that is a battle that has already been lost. “Blast” is the same thing, just another brand. The FDA will stop it also. I don’t agree with the decision, but what can you do?

Well, wine coolers are very fruity and tast like soda and let’s not forget Purple Haze and all that crap back in the 80′s, Schnappes and coffee flavored liquor. I have always wanted to be protected from myself! Land of the free my A$$!!
