Foo Fighters Reveal Details On Where To Watch Their New Movie And 3D Performance

As far as rock-n-roll being dead, I tend to not agree with that sentiment echoed by so many in today’s indie rock world. In fact, as long as the Foo Fighters are alive and kicking, rock-n-roll is in the best hands it can possibly be in. They know exactly how to rule that world. Effortlessly.
Secret shows, a mysterious white limo sneaking up all over town, a Foo Fighters’ on-line radio station with cryptic messages on ghost stations, a raucous performance at SXSW, and a new bad-ass documentary followed by a 3D performance of Wasted Light…THAT, my friends, is why we love the Foo Fighters.
First, they hit the streets of Los Angeles in the now infamous Foo Fighters’ white limo hitting up local spots with one secret show after another and unveiling their entire new album to unsuspecting crowds. But wait! they weren’t done. After playing their new album, they unleashed all our favorite Foo Fighter’s songs in long, sweaty sets filled with witty banter in between songs and lots o’ beer.

Foo Fighters' White Limo hittin' the road
In today’s world of music, marketing your music is a tricky thing. You never want to be too gimmicky, but bands know that with the climate of today’s music business, marketing can be everything. The Foo Fighters have done a lot of marketing for Wasted Light, but, they have kept it simple and fun. They have stayed true to who they are this entire time. Yes, they have used Twitter and Facebook to market this album, but in the most basic way possible. They’ve made it fair to fans from yesterday and today.
Besides the new album, Wasted Light, I am beyond excited for their new documentary: “Foo Fighters: Back and Forth.”
Why, you ask? well, here’s why:
Need I say more? I think not.
