A Drinking Holiday And No Kevin & Bean Party? Here’s Why.

A Drinking Holiday And No Kevin & Bean Party? Heres Why.

Kevin and Ralph at last year's Vomit By Noon party

If there’s one thing that the KROQ crew loves to do, it’s drink! When a holiday comes up in which drinking on the job is given the “ok,” we’re all over it! Exactly one year ago, we dubbed the St. Patrick’s Day party at Casey’s Irish Pub in Downtown LA, the “Kevin & Bean’s Vomit By Noon” party. While we’re not sure if the vomiting by noon part was actually accomplished, one thing was for sure – the crew drank!

This year, when St. Patrick’s Day started approaching, people were asking for the details of our party. The details are that there are no details. Kevin states it simply – “We have an evil boss, and our evil boss hates us.” This couldn’t possibly have to do with some of the conduct last year, could it?

Bean avoids these type of parties in all ways possible and usually takes the whole week off to ensure that he has no recollection of them. Kevin has no recollection of them for a different reason. What he does remember was that he had a great time!

First off, there was a karaoke-like contest in which one of the contestants couldn’t remember any lyrics to the song “Sex of Fire” by Kings of Leon… THE TITLE IS PRETTY MUCH THE WHOLE CHORUS, GENIUS! Next up, we talked to the director of some Irish leprechaun film, but throughout the entire interview, all you could hear was the crowd mics turned up way too loud. Yep, we’re professionals!

Sometimes we got a little out of control, but that's what you're supposed to do.

It all really started to go downhill when Omar decided that everyone else needed to keep up with his alcohol consumption. It was like 7:30 in the morning and Omar was livid that no one else was as drunk like he was. More alcohol meant more non-FCC friendly language, and those of us stuck back in the studio could barely keep up with cleaning that up. Kevin admits that “sometimes we got a little out of control, but that’s what you’re supposed to do.”

Are u freakin serious!!!!!! This is why we all LOVE KROQ. Why is it that “THE BOSS” always has to abuse their authority. Personally I think Caseys Pub probably made a big stink about the whole thing so as far as I’m concerned screw them and your damn Boss @ KROQ. We need Trump on his @$$ to Fire it! With all that being said if KROQ don’t party Tee don’t party so yes I am staying home tonight too :(

Rules don’t change because you’re drunk.
