Avenged Sevenfold To Headline 2011 Revolver Golden Gods Award Show At Club Nokia
The 2011 Revolver Magazine Golden Gods Award Show is happening April 20th at Club Nokia in Downtown LA, with recently-added Avenged Sevenfold set to headline the festivities. Avenged will be joined by the original Alice Cooper Group in their first LA appearance in almost 40 years, Loaded – which features Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses/Velvet Revolver/Jane’s Addiction), Devildriver, Volbeat, Fozzy and Asking Alexandria.
Fans have the ability to vote on the awards now through April 1st. If you aren’t ‘celebrating’ 4/20 with your stoner friends, you should definitely check out the Golden Gods Award Show and all the bands performing.
“If you’re a fan of hard rock and heavy metal, there’s only one place to be on 4.20 this year-and it ain’t your couch, with a bag of Doritos, watching The Lord of the Rings for the 57th time,” states Revolver Editor in Chief Brandon Geist. “Everyone who is anyone in heavy music is going to be at the Revolver Golden Gods, and unlike pretty much every other award show, you, the fans, not only get to pick the winners, but you’re also invited to the party. I went the past few years, and it’s always a good time. That said, the lineup doesn’t really do it for me, thus I will just watch the awards from my couch.
