While speaking in Australia, where Corey Taylor is on tour with his other outfit Stone Sour, he spoke of the possibility of new Slipknot material.

He said that the chances of Slipknot recording a new album without late bassist Paul Gray are slim. Gray died last June of a suspected overdose in an Iowa hotel.

Taylor went on record to say, “I don’t see it happening. And if it does, it’ll be way  way down the line.” He added that after the death of the bassist, “There is such a huge piece missing now. A piece so huge that the fans can’t even understand.” He described Gray as the band’s “lynchpin” and said it would be very hard to imagine recording without him.

Taylor also refused to confirm or deny reports that he is the new singer of Velvet Revolver. When asked about this he said: “To be continued. That’s all I can say right now.” He also announced that he is to release an autobiography on July 12. It is entitled The Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good.

Sexy Sadie… Right on chick! Keepin’ us posted on the Knot. I know… just today I was listening to “Gehenna” in my drive home and it hit me, they didn’t even get to really explore the other tracks from “All Hope Is Gone” live during their touring. Crazy how 08′ went into 09′ and then before you knew it, it was 10′ and that would be it. I’m so grateful to have banged my head proudly front row right center pit at Mayhem Fest 08′ in San Bernardino and front row center floor for their Forum gig in Inglewood 09′. They were sickly at 05′ ‘s Subliminal Tour Forum gig, they’re just sick overall and will forever be the sickest… R.I.P. Paul Gray… R.I.P. Slipknot…for the time being. I feel Corey’s words. I know that emotion where nothing will ever be the same again. I respect it, just as the fans of Led Zeppelin respect them. All we can do is play Slipknots records and celebrate in the mania that was… “Until then…” Great post Sadie! Now I know who to look to for the Knot news. You rock lady! IImII
