Meet The Youngest Medical Marijuana Card Holder

Even though we’re just starting the month of March, 4/20 is around the corner! It’s not hard to believe either that the people here at KROQ take this holiday very seriously. Partaking in this oh so strenuous activity on a daily basis gets our creative juices flowing.
With that fun fact out-of-the-way I would like to now share with you the youngest medical marijuana card holder in the state of Montana and how his father believes weed saved his life.
There are over 28,000 medical cannabis card holders in Montana , and 51 of them are under the age of 18. This may sound shocking to some, but is actually a very small percentage. Not even a fraction of a percent to be exact. Two and a half year old Cash Hyde happens to be the state’s youngest medical cannabis card holder, and his parents will be the first to step up and say that pot helped their son overcome his brain tumor.
Cash’s father Michael Hyde explains “I believe that you know Cashy’s with us for a lot of reasons, one of them I would have to say is the power of prayer, one he’s a walking miracle and the other one is he is a patient of medical cannabis, which has I think greatly benefited his battle.”
Michael continued to explain how he watched doctors prescribe medicine to his son that made his heart stop and even hallucinate. By switching his son over to medical cannabis young Cash began to get his appetite back, sleep better, and even more importantly have his organs strengthen and rebuild from the damage the chemo caused.
We’re glad to hear that little Cashy is doing better, and even more excited that weed was the hero in this story. Both Cash and weed are now WINNING in my book.
