Liam Gallagher Hates Radiohead’s Latest Release

Thom Yorke has been magic ever since the video for “Lotus Flower” hit our computers. With all the spoofs of his spastic dancing, I wonder if people have even watched the video with the actual song.
One person that will definitely not be watching any of these hilarious videos is Liam Gallagher. He had a bit of a rant against Radiohead and their new album.
The former Oasis, now Beady Eye frontman told sources that his problem with the band’s new album is its content.
“I heard that f—ing Radiohead record and I just go, ‘What?!’ I like to think that what we do, we do f—-ing well. Them writing a song about a f—ing tree? Give me a f—-ing break! A thousand-year old tree? Go f— yourself! You’d have thought he’d have written a song about a modern tree or one that was planted last week. You know what I mean?” – Liam Gallagher
I’m gonna have to disagree with everything this man is saying. The song and video are great.

Liam Gallagher is such a tool. Criticizing Radiohead? Just last year he criticized Coachella for booking Jay-Z. All he does is talk trash. What a tool. Shut up and go make your “Beady Eye” album. BTW that’s a terrible name for a band.

@adam – For the record, it was Noel who was upset over Jay-Z headilinging Glatonsbury i the UK. So perhaps before you talk trash and call someone a tool, you should get your facts straight.
Oh and the new Radiohead record blows, Liam is correct.

This picture is from June 18 or June 19, 1997, in Oakland.
How do I know? The background is U2′s PopMart stage. Oasis opened only these two shows for U2. I was at both shows, this was a few days after the 1997 Weenie Roast (the best WR ever… Oasis, Blur, Cure, Foo Fighters, Chem Bros, Offspring, Social D, Wallflowers, Echo & The Bunnymen).
Liam is a guy who doesn’t mind stating what’s on his mind, that’s for sure… he needs to utilize that “filter” we’re all supposed to have. Or maybe he’s jealous of Thom’s dancing abilities??

let’s not fool ourselves here, modern rock’s biggest secret is that radiohead actually kinda sucks nowadays. weird does not equal good music. get over it. liam is simply the only person who is man enough to not be afraid to come out and say it.

I agree with altrocker. I love radiohead, but this record is not very good. Too artsy. Especially that video. Hipster heaven!

Really Liam? This guy is always trying to create a buzz. The new Radiohead isnt their finest work, but it is more unique and original than the Beady Eye Album

Liam sucks too but you have to admit Radiohead fans expected more out of the album that turns out to be trash expect for one song
