First Trent Reznor wins the Oscar for Best Original Score, and now Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine takes the stage to perform “If I Rise” from the Academy Award-nominated “127 Hours.”
Performing with composer A.R. Rahman, Ms. Welch fit right in at the Oscars, delivering an elegant, graceful and impressive performance.
After Florence left the stage, it was Gwenyth Paltrow’s turn to perform a song from Country Strong. @lauraserra on Twitter said it best:
Making Gwyneth follow Florence is just cruel #Oscars—

Reactions on Twitter are pretty positive:

Though there’s always the detractors:
I really don't get the whole Florence thing. I know who she is, I just don't get the appeal. Also Randy newman's speech was cuuuute
