The Montreal band Arcade Fire brought their energetic rock anarchy to the GRAMMY stage for the first time, performing “Month of May” from their album The Suburbs.

The band possesses one of rock’s largest instrument collections. It follows the band on tour, and they made use of many of them during their GRAMMYs performance, from megaphones to violins. Stunt bike riding tricksters circled the band on stage wearing helmet cameras.

Although this was Arcade Fire’s first GRAMMY performance, the band was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album back in 2005 and in 2008. This year their third studio album, The Suburbs, was nominated again for that award, as well as Album of the Year--which it won!
