2010 GRAMMY Flashback: 52nd Annual GRAMMY Award Show Winners

The Grammys are coming people! OK, so maybe we’re not all that excited. Typically KROQ artists lose to massive pop acts. But, with that said Kings Of Leon cleaned up nicely last year taking home Record Of The Year and Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals as well as Best Rock Song. Their song Use Somebody was simply to big to deny. From strip clubs to TV commercials, it was unavoidable. Green Day took Best Rock Album and Phoenix even tool home a little something.

Take a minute to look back at last year’s biggest categories and winners. Out of all the Taylor Swifts and Beyoncés in the world, KROQ bands actually fared pretty well.

• “Working On A Dream” – Bruce Springsteen (He’s the boss. No, I don’t care for his music, but I get that he’s a legend.)

Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals

• “Use Somebody” – Kings Of Leon

Best Hard Rock Performance

• “War Machine” – AC/DC (Love that they’re still kickin’ ass)

Best Metal Performance

• “Dissident Aggressor” – Judas Priest (Don’t ever try to tell me gay men can’t rock)

Best Rock Instrumental Performance

• “A Day In The Life” – Jeff Beck(I think my dad’s happy about this one.)

Best Rock Song

• “Use Somebody” – Kings Of Leon

21st Century Breakdown – Green Day (Epic album. But you already know that.)

• Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix – Phoenix (Anyone that saw them at Acoustic Christmas or Coachella understands.)
