I grew up on these bands. My first CD was Megadeth’s Countdown to Extinction. My Dad raised me on metal. I can’t afford the tickets. He was just diagnosed with cancer and I would love to take him to this!!! I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY want these tickets!!! I hope I win these tickets, I’m a real metalhead unlike the majority of people who listen to KROQ. I must go to this show! KROQ music sucks but I’ve been listening just for a chance to win. Hope it’ll be worth it! Oh and I think it’s a damn shame that whenever they announce this on the radio they only play Metallicas music in the background when the other 3 bands are far better.

First of all this is a true old school metalhead’s dream concert unless you are an old school metalhead you shouldn’t even consider goin to this concert because it is goin to be beyond brutal…..Second of all look at KROQ promoting this concert when they dont even play any of these bands accept Metallica and the only songs that they play of Metallica are there crappy songs like enter sandman, nothing else matters and so on you wont ever hear KROQ playing any real Metallica songs like seek & destroy, creeping death or disposable heroes and KROQ wont EVER play anything from Slayer,Megadeth or Anthrax….With all that being said I want these tix KROQ and if you dont give them to me then F*** OFF!!!

I’m with you man, those are my thoughts exactly, although I do believe they play “Bring the Noise” and “Peace Sells”… neither of which are nowhere near the best of ANTHRAX or ]V[EGADET]-[. The least they could do during the ad is at play one song from each band but all I hear are the only 3 Metallica songs they ever play, those 2 you mentioned and “Sad But True”. I rarely listen to KROQ anymore because of all the emo and pop rock that gets played but did they promote the Jagermeister Music Tour when 3 of the big 4 played at the Gibson? Or American Carnage when they toured with Testament instead of Anthrax? I wouldn’t know but I highly doubt it since Metallica wasn’t in the lineup!
