Goodness gracious great balls of fire! Where do I even begin? So I went to the best place on earth this past weekend Las Vegas. The reasoning behind this spontaneous trip was a mini bachelorette party and more importantly, Weezer.

If I’m being one hundred percent honest with you’ll I don’t remember everything that happened. That has to mean I had a good time, right?

Some of what I recall is very good music, large amounts of alcohol, English men, girls girls girls, and someone who I thought was a Snooki look-alike.

Getting straight to the point; I left right after my shift here at KROQ Friday afternoon, and got to Vegas with about an hour to spare before the concert started. Being a chick I needed to get ready and have at least 3 patron shots before leaving the room.

We got there right on time and even snuck in my flask (which was no easy feat).

For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with the Memories Tour, the show at The Joint was playing both The Blue Album and Pinkerton in one night. Yes, yes, I know you’re jealous. It was amazing!

Every Weezer fan knows how Blue starts. So that’s definitely why everyone was standing up and rocking out to “My Name Is Jonas.”

My personal favorites during the first half of the show were “Buddy Holly” and “Say It Ain’t So.” However, I cannot forget to mention that “Only In Dreams” was played in its entirety.

A nice little slide show played between the two albums. Showing fans pictures of the guys out-n-about traveling the world and goofing off. With more pics of earlier band posters and concert fliers. I thought that the intermission might have been a little too long, but really I can’t complain because it gave me more time to find my way down to the table seating!

The Pinkerton half of the show was freaking amazing! “Tired of Sex” got everyone psychic up after the break, but it was “El Scorcho” and “Pink Triangle” that had the entire audience up on their feet seeing at the top of their lungs.

And for the grand finale “Butterfly.” Ahhh but wait…a mind blowing encore with Rachel Haden actually happened! Rachel Haden joined the band onstage to sing the Pinkerton B-Side “I Just Threw Out The Love Of My Dreams.”

After the concert the rest of the weekend becomes a blur. Check out what I kind of remember and what was appropriate enough to post up.

I have to be honest, I am not jealous. I actually saw the band tour behind both of those albums, so I was able to save my money here in 2010/2011 for better bands like Ween.

I was there and it was an amazing night. One of the best shows I’ve seen Weezer play. Fav part of the night had to be the encore with Rachel Haden. As a Cali native, I’m glad I am now living in Vegas so I was able to experience such a magical night.
