From New York City we have The Postelles, who recently stopped by the Last.fm Discover studio for an interview and live studio session. The group’s debut album is scheduled to be out this spring–coming just a year after they released an EP, White Night, coproduced by Albert Hammond Jr. from The Strokes.
During their Discover session, The Postelles played songs from their forthcoming album; they also sat down for an interview and were all about having fun and joking around.
The Postelles are one of the best pop-rock bands to come out of NYC in quite some time. Listen for yourself to “White Night,” which is included below in two versions–the first is live from our studio, the second is the official video release. The song has one of those hooks that grabs you immediately, much like “Animal” from Neon Trees. The interview follows, as well as links to additional studio recordings.
“White Night” live at Last.fm Discover.
