Rise Against will finally be giving fans new music to listen to. Almost 3 years after their last album, Appeal To Reason, the guys went back into the studio in September of last year to begin recording. Fans of Rise Against are used to getting new records every 2 years, and this marks the first time the band has waited so long to release a new album.
The band released the cover art, and a 15 second clip of a song off the upcoming Endgame album, which just left me on the edge of my seat.

The band will be looking to go in a new direction for this album, with their lyrics touching on real world events, such as Hurricane Katrina and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. According to Tim, although the lyrics discuss grim topics, they actually take on a positive view and were written from the perspective of, “What if the place on the other side of this transition is a place we’d all rather be living in?”
To an extent some lyrics were also inspired by the Dixie Chicks song “Not Ready to Make Nice,” and in an interview recently, Tim told Spinner that, ‘”[...] the record is not a concept record and, fret not, has absolutely nothing to do with the Dixie Chicks.”
The album is set to be released later this year on March 15th, 2011, and be sure to check out this 15-second clip of one of their songs. It will definitely leave you wanting more!
