Last.fm Trends: Does Paramore Have A Broken Future?
Paramore have had a rough time of it lately, rocked by the departure of two original members. Both sides have had their say, and the remaining band members are now planning a new album for 2011 release, reports Rolling Stone.
Today Last.fm Trends looks into the band’s charts, to see if the recent controversy has affected their listeners – and how far new material will have to go to measure against their hits.

Sophomore album Riot! represents most tracks in the six-month chart above, with 2009′s Brand New Eyes arriving second. Despite fans’ acclaim for debut All We Know Is Falling, those tracks don’t have the scrobble counts to match up.
Most popular track “Misery Business” has 6,601,940 scrobbles from 587,433 listeners – an average of 11.2 scrobbles per listener suggests fanatic loyalty, but can it continue with the fragmented band?
The Recent Trend graph for most tracks shows a small drop towards the end, likely a festive lull. But with one of the most popular shouts on the page being “Paramore won’t be Paramore anymore,” it remains to be seen how new material will fare.
