Muse Discuss Plans To Play A Show In Space

Muse‘s Matt Bellamy has said that the band has had discussions about the possibility of playing a gig in space. Bellamy says that although his plan is “out there” he hopes that technology would allow the Devon three-piece a shot at performing in orbit one day.
I guess “intergalactic” isn’t just for the Beastie Boys.
“We’ve had some discussions about playing in space,” Bellamy says. “Sometimes very coherent conversations and sometimes very late at night, but it’s for real.” I think we have all had those drunk late night conversations with friends about space travel too, Matt.
The frontman continues to explain that although the band hasn’t had any astronaut training quite yet, he has started thinking about ways of going about getting the gig literally off the ground. “I’m thinking of approaching Richard Branson to see if we could do it on his [Virgin Galactic] spacecraft he’s got happening,” he said. “Although we do have a lot of equipment, I guess we’d have to use pods to carry our stuff and we’d scale back the shows a lot. I do think it will be possible in the future and I’m sure it will happen in my lifetime. We’d love to be part of that.”

I’d love to see that. It would be incredible… but I wonder just how it would work with setting up the equipment and all of that stuff…

Its a CRAZY IDEA… WHAT IF? It all goes wrong. Will we lose MUSE because they did something not worth the effort and time or the money. The Irony would be the lost of musicians. In our age we lost to many and seen technology and machines fail humanity over and over….. Example the freakish Airplane accidents. Do we need to watch the horror on the TV screen. Music is not worth the silence of outer-space…..May as well say music is from the spheres might as well say…..fallen angels!!!!!
