‘Spider-Man’ Musical Delayed Once Again

Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, the musical which features the iconic superhero (with direction by The Lion King director and music by U2‘s Bono and the Edge) has had it’s opening night delayed once again.
The show was first suspended when it was initially announced because of cashflow issues. And so far this year the show has been pushed back four times.
Producers postponed the show’s official opening last month, moving it from December 21 to January. This postponement was due to the New York State Department of Labor because they decided to investigate the safety of the play’s working conditions after two actors were injured while practicing aerial tricks.
The show’s preview opening was not too smooth sailing to say the least. For one, it began 24 minutes late, then the end of the first act came early due to a mishap involving one of the many aerial stunts, and finally an audience member called out “I feel like a guinea pig today – I feel like it’s a dress rehearsal,” during a second-act delay.
Now according to a press release, the show, which is currently in previews, will now open February 7, and not on January 11.Thus far, Spider-Man the musical is the most expensive Broadway musical in history.

I saw the U2 song Boy Falls From The Sky on youtube, it rocks pretty good. Too bad the play is falling apart.
