Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of The Black Keys got gifts from Sluggo while talking about their love of Devo and the fact that their head sets make them feel like their on the cast of Top Gun.
It turns out that wearing a goofy headset and talking with Sluggo means you might just be apart of the cast of Top Gun, at least according to Dan Auerbach it is.
The duo awkwardly talked about being nominated for 7 or 8, cough, GRAMMYs before getting an awesome X-Mas gift from Sluggo, digital graffiti magnets. Patrick seemed more interested in the tiny baggies that contained the gift saying he could probably find a good use for them later.
Sluggo and The Black Keys bonded over a mutual love of Devo and said “Too Much Paranoia” was their favorite song.
Sluggo commented that he liked that The Black Keys keep the talking to a minimum while on stage and the twosome admitted that it’s because they’re insecure.
For being one of the biggest things in rock right now, that’s surprising, but I guess we’re all just a little bit insecure about something, even though we don’t need to be.
