Video: The Gorillaz Acoustic Performance
As we told you before, the Gorillaz have been really busy with all kinds of things including touring and recording a new album. Despite how busy the band is, they still found some time to do a special acoustic performance. The performance consisted of their songs “Doncamatic” and “On Melancholy Hill” along with a cover of “Crystalised” by The xx.
I’m absolutely convinced that there really isn’t anything the Gorillaz can’t do. First of all, “Doncamatic” is a fantastic new song from the already large collection of great music from the band. And second, the thing that really blew me away was their cover of “Crystalised” because it’s just flat out awesome. Their version of the song is distinctly Gorillaz, yet its still faithful to the original song, a feat that many covers fail to replicate.
