gasolinerainbows The Black Keys, Phoenix And Others Unite For Charity CD

Brought to you by the stars of One Tree Hill, Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols have partnered off-screen in an effort to raise relief for the devastating oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.  Utilizing the charity power of national environmental non-profit Global Green USA, Bush and Nichols have ordered the help from music’s best and brightest to create a killer compilation CD titled Gasoline Rainbows. All proceeds will go directly to Global Green’s campaign in the Gulf.

I hinted The Black Keys and Phoenix would appear on the album, but that’s just to get you warmed up to an impressive list of musicians, including six more KROQ bands.

Running down the track list is eerily reminiscent to a KROQ playlist, but eerie in this case is quite a pleasant surprise.  Including The Black Keys and Phoenix, Gasoline Rainbows will also include tracks from Silversun Pickups, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Passion Pit, Vampire Weekend, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, AND LCD Soundsystem.

You can purchase Gasoline Rainbows on November 30th exclusively on iTunes.

2. “Armistice” – Phoenix
