What’s next for super-producer extraordinaire, Brian Burton, better known as Danger Mouse? He’s now on tour with his new band Broken Bells and working with U2 on their new album being released next year.

The man who accounts for half of Broken Bells has hit the studio once again, this time to release an album all of his own. This time he leaves singer Steve Mercer to team up with singers Jack White, whose voice makes girls swoon, and cutie Norah Jones, whose voice is surely from heaven.

Danger Mouse looks to do it again and release another hit album. He’s already done it with Gnarls Barkley and their hit song ‘Crazy’, and recently with Broken Bells and a song I’m sure you have heard on KROQ before “The High Road.” Well like the picture posted above, a good vocalist plus Danger Mouse equals GOOD MUSIC. The release date and track listing has yet to be released, but we do know that the album was recorded in the Forum studios, which is a converted church, so I can only imagine how awesome the acoustics are.

Gnarls Barkley – Crazy

Broken Bells – The High Road

On why he chose to enlist Jack White and Norah Jones, “I definitely wanted a man and a woman,” he said. “The female vocal needed to be soft, not polarizing. But the male needed to have a bit more angst to it.”  Soft voice, Check. Angst, check. He continued, “But in the end, I thought, ‘He’s really into it – why not?’ He tried it in different voices – a high voice, a low voice, and I thought, ‘Why don’t we leave them all in?’ There’s a bunch of his vocals on ‘Rose With The Broken Neck’, and it doesn’t always sound like him.”

The album, titled Rome,is said to be inspired by old 1960′s Italian films, and will be worked on by Italian composer Daniele Luppi. It’s going to be way interesting to see waht this sounds like.

Check out Norah Jones’ lovely voice.
