Kid Cudi ‘Over Rapping’ – Starting New Rock Project
A new interview with rapper Kid Cudi reveals that he’s “over rapping” and has started a new rock project called Wizard.
Cudi is pretty good rapper, but he always included a singing element into most of his music, so it’s not much of a surprise that he’s getting his toes wet in the rock genre. He’s had decent commercial success with hits like “Day ‘N Nite” and appearances alongside some of the biggest artists in the world. It’ll be interesting to see what he comes up with.

Obviously Cudi isn’t the first to make the switch over to rock. Other notable rappers have also added rock sounds to their style with good response. Lil’ Wayne has a full live band when he performs sometimes (complete with guitar solos and all) and LA-rapper MURS has his own side-project called Whole Wheat Bread, just to name a few.
