Slash Preforms Acoustic Set In Australia
I remember when I was younger, I used to play air guitar to Guns N’ Roses ‘Sweet Child o’ Mine.’ Now, I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything, but honk honk. I was pretty awesome. The point I’m trying to make is that Slash is one of my favorite guitarists and is easily one of the best in the world.
After his time with Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver (Who are returning, by the way), he would go on to make him own self-titled solo album which was released earlier this year. Since then, he has been going around the world performing songs off his new album and songs from Guns ‘N Roses and Velvet Revolver as well.
Back in August, the folks from down under were treated to a real cool moment when Slash and singer Myles Kennedy did a seven song set-list of the three band’s songs acoustically and now you can see the show for yourself!

no matter what you do to it, they just don’t sound right not played at mega decibels. And certain songs, sometimes, were written on acoustic and translated later into a louder kind of thing, but they still feel good on acoustic. And then some are ballad-y and lend themselves to acoustic, anyways. You just sort of pick the ones that will work acoustically.”
