The World Of Incubus: Recording, Charity And Smokeout

Brandon Boyd "working" hard in his new music video "Last Night A Passenger".
I know it may be hard to believe, but Brandon Boyd and the rest of the guys from Incubus are busy in the studio recording musical ambrosia.
In fact, the guys have been recording since July and only took a break to do a little mini tour by playing some headline gigs and big festivals like Smokeout. By the way, their performance at Smokeout was fantastic.
In addition to the festival shows, the band played a very special benefit show in Santiago on October 8th to raise money for the families of the miners who were trapped for 70 days. The band raised $66,000 and it was one of the most emotional nights you could imagine. The very next morning the Plan B drill reached the miners and by the time we got home they had already rescued the first 6 miners.
The show was filmed and recorded and there will be a release of the live video recording of “Runaway Train”, from singer Brandon Boyd’s solo album “The Wild Trapeze”, performed with Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger and the Chilean Youth Orchestra.
Below is the new video for the song “Last Night A Passenger” from Brandon’s solo album “The Wild Trapeze” which will be available in stores on October 26th.

If you missed Smokeout, check out a bit of what you missed.
Let’s see…did I forget anything? Nope, don’t think so. Wait, there’s this I guess, the band is back in LA now continuing work on a new album which is expected to be released in the first half of 2011.

Oh yes. I’ve got a musical hard on! I’ve been waiting patiently for Incubus to get back to work on a new album. Looks like we wont have to wait very long. Great video by Brandon, and great news!
