LA Weekly Takes A Look Inside Jonesy’s Jukebox

Filed Under:

The Sex PistolsSteve Jones returned to LA radio as we recently re-introduced his hit show Jonesy’s Jukebox, which features some of the best indie music around. According to LA Weekly writer Caroline Ryder, “Jonesy’s Jukebox is a leaner, more grown-up version of the show that made Indie 103.1 FM great for five years.”

While Jonesy’s on-air antics may have changed a bit, the basic purpose of exposing people to new and good indie music didn’t. Take a peek inside Jonesy’s Jukebox after the jump, where you’ll find a great post by LA Weekly and some good photos to go along with it.

“The skinny-jean modern indie sounds that Jones is championing may have come as a shock to those who tuned in hoping to catch some Linkin Park, but for those happy Jonesy’s Jukebox fans who lit up KROQ’s switchboard as soon as the show went on, last night must have felt like nothing short of a Second Coming.”

Check out the great article here or take a look at excellent photo gallery of Steve around the KROQ studios.

If you haven’t had the chance to check out Jonesy’s Jukebox, tune in every Sunday night from 7-9pm and discover some great new music.

Big thanks to LA Weekly for coming out and supporting the return of Jonesy’s Jukebox.
